Something New is Growing in Saskatoon ….
Right now in Saskatoon there is a group of culinary students preparing to do something very different.
They are opening a restaurant.
Never has a group of culinary students been given the opportunity to run their own fully functioning restaurant. This team of eight has been involved in every aspect from the ground up and will be working in every area of the restaurant’s operations. They will get true on-the-job experience in menu planning, cooking, ordering food & supplies, as well as decorating, wine pairing and front-of-house management.
“Cultivate” – Opening June 18th 2010 will be a high-end innovational Canadian restaurant focused on utilizing local ingredients and turning the old idea of “Canadian Cuisine” on its head.
“Cultivate” will utilize a state-of-the-art kitchen complete with the kind of equipment that most seasoned Chefs can only dream of. The talented and aspiring kitchen brigade at “Cultivate” will be employing many modern cooking methods and will be the only restaurant of its kind in Canada.
